Where are they now? PT 1

Saigon

Saigon

The hype surrounding Saigon and his album “The Greatest Story Never Told” has fizzled out since we first heard about it and now it seems as though it may never see the light of day. With Just Blaze handling the production it seemed as though the New Yorker rapper was going to come with an album that would by his own admission “change the game”. However label politrics made Saigon less then sure about his future so he left Atlantic and signed a deal with Amalgram digital. He recently dropped a mixtape with Statik Selektah called “All in a days work” but his buzz aswell as his appearances have become almost non existent.

Tru Life

Tru Life

Your favourite weed carrier’s favourite weed carrier. When your claim to fame is robbing a Dipset member of their chain then you know nobody cares about your music. I actually felt the joint he did called “Family Potrait” for the record but as of right now he is currently awaiting sentencing on a murder charge so i guess it’s a rap for him (no pun intended).

Jae Millz

Jae Millz

Damn anyone remember Smack DVD? Before the dvd thing got played out (The Comeup anyone?) Jae Millz became infamous for battling cats and actually showed that he may be one of the few good things to come out of New York in a while. He signed a distribution deal with Warner Bros in 2003 but his album never saw the light of day. So he bounced and is now rolling with Lil Wayne & Niki Minaj as part of Young Money Ent. His buzz along with any recognition in the rap game has disappeared into the either but hey at least he gets to hit all the groupies that Wayne doesn’t want (which judging by all the Weezy F Babies poppin up ain’t that many lol).

Freck the Billonaire

Freck the Billonaire

Yo this guy is so unknown that i typed his name into google and he hasn’t even got a Wikipedia page about him lol. I think he was/is signed to Floyd Mayweather’s label. The last time i saw or heard from this dude was on worldstar.com walking around Floyd’s garage thinkin damn I can’t even afford to buy the rims on one of this guy’s vehicles lol. I’m sorry but when you’re name is Freck the “Billonaire” and you’re not even close to being rich it’s kinda ironic don’t ya think. Matter of fact I think he got arrested for selling crack kids don’t try this at home

Rhymefest

Rhymefest

Rhymefest was known for being a feared battle rhymer back in the day. He reportedly beat Eminem in a battle (guess Marshall was having an off day) and his first single off the double wood album “Blue Collar” was produced by none other then Mr Kayne West but still even with tracks by Just Blaze and NO I.D. on the album Rhymefest just didn’t really have that star power and the last I heard he was beefing with Charles Hamilton. You know you’re career is over before it starts when people are posting comments on web pages like “who is this old guy dissing Charles Hamilton”. The 50 Cent line “Damn homey in high school you was the man homey the fuck happened to you” definitely applies here.
